Cheapest tickets for ELO next July in Birmingham are £93! I just cannot justify that....taking the piss, and yet he is pretty much sold out except for a few seats in the best areas that are over £700!
10538 Overture on a scratchy 45 rpm vinyl pressing was my first listening to ELO .

Wonder if Jeff Lynne would take that into account if I wanted a ticket for next year if asked .
Not his call I know .

Quick scan of Birmingham seating plan tickets shows prices at starts at £470 + , forget it .

Taking the absolute piss....nearly half a grand to see him...feck that!

Focus at Pontardawe Arts Centre earlier tonight , what a bunch of talented musicians .

No OTT dramatics , back up tracking or clever cover up of mistakes by sound engineers .

Prog Rock at its finest although sometimes the solos went on for hours , that is their music .

£ 25 to see a classic 70"s Band on your doorstep , why not give it a go .

Early days for Whipering Bob on Radio 2 Sound of the Seventies but a bit will I listen next week .

His Country and Western stamp on music is coming to the aim of that show already to me .

I wanted to go but I couldn’t get back home until this evening after a week away, glad you enjoyed.

So far next year I’ve got Bullet for my Valentine (with Trivium) in Cardiff in January, Ghost in April (Birmingham), Manics in Swansea in May and then Download in June. 2025 is shaping up nicely.

Actually I’m partial to a bit of Ghost. Might be just me but it’s underneath all the big guitars and imagery they sound very europop to me, like a highly polished ABBA. Great stuff.

I wouldn’t argue with that. I think they’re great. The wife is coming with me so I’ve had to tell her to pay no attention to any pics of them. They sound nothing like how you’d expect them too looking at them.

I’ve told my boys I’ll take V them if they want, not for me of course.😁. It’s often blasting in the car as well as Volbeat and 3 Doors Down.
