The Welsh double do.

Someone talks about something that they do and the reply comes;

“I du do that too”.

"I'll do it now in a minute"
Classic, still use it regularly

When I was a kid my gran would send me up the Cwop (Co-op) for a pint of milk.
Funny enough, I was thinking that when we were doing Leo's the other day. Come to that 'funny enough' or 'I'm not being funny, but...'

A good old Neath one 'Cowin 'ell'. Or as I heard my sister's mate say once (not about me sadly) 'So I told him, get your cowin hands off my knickers'.

Calling snooker snucker.

I hear the majority mentioned here regularly, especially this one. The wife's from Ebbw Vale and her whole family call it 'snucker'. They think I'm very posh because I say 'snooker'.

In Swansea Top Rank I once asked a girl where she lived.
"Up the cowin' 'Afod". Was the reply.

Tooth is tuth, foot is fut, so why wouldn't snooker be snuker?

I pronounce it snuker, which I get pulled up about quite often. Another one I pronounce incorrectly is hood, whereas I don’t pronounce the H. A jacket with a nud, common as muck me.

I always feel it sounds wrong when I say 'snooker', but 'snuker' just sounds even more weird.
