Relegation Update

They got regulated in their 75th year.
They got regulated in their 100th year.
This is their 125th year 👀👀

They still won’t go down though 🙄
No, they always scrape a result or run. But, just maybe this time...

They have already spawned a couple of wins and draws, so maybe they've had their luck already.

Just had their goal difference pointed out to me 👀👀

Its a thread titled "Relegation Update" and Cardiff happen to be in the mix, some would say so are we...
Well i don't like to tempt fate by saying we are safe, and i certainly won't be cheering for Derby or Luton to win, as some on here were last night. Though i can understand why everyone wanted Luton to win last night.

I did only look back over the last few pages to be fair so I didn't read the OP.

We're almost certainly safe now, there are too many other teams between us and the bottom 3 for us to be dragged into it

They're our biggest rivals if you hadn't noticed.
They're discussed and thought about far too much though, the same as on the supporters page on Facebook.

Then there'll be a comment made about us by one of them and it'll be met with the usual comments of "look how obsessed they are with us!"

Those results last night have certainly made things interesting.
Plymouth I think are more or less down. No signs of improving.
I thought Luton & Derby were goners as well, but shows how quick things can change.

Both clubs have been obsessed with each other for as long as I can remember, although in the early 70s we did have a bit of an inferiority complex. Soon disappeared when we realised and proved we are a much better club, ironically mainly because of one of their heroes. Since we've been the consistently better known and more successful club, since 2011, their obsession has grown further. The Doube Doube wounded them badly. Relegation would send them doolally.

Most clubs are obsessed with their nearest neighbours of similar size. Add on the spice added since England randomly designated their shithole an administration 'capitol' and there you have it. Nothing wrong with it in my view. Why anyone pretends (mostly them) I don't know. It's all part of the fun. I took great pleasure from last night, but it won't make up for us losing tonight. So, all in proportion.

Do you actually want them to go down though? As it is, we have one home game a season where we get a full house and a good atmosphere.

If you're happy with the obsession that's fine, it's the hypocrisy that gets me when it comes back the other way

Yes - I wish more people would take on Board that another country designated the "Capitol" of our nation. They just happened to have the largest population (and not by much) when London decided. If they had done this earlier it would have been us or any other place. There are historical places that could have been the Capital. I think Cardigan or Machynlleth are historical contenders. No it was that shithole thanks to the tory cockwombles in the big smoke.
