• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

This team doesn’t seem to have been affected by hammerings in the last but the psychological impact of this will be key.

Stating the obvious but they have to win the second test to avoid this series running away from them very quickly.

On the plus side, I read somewhere that to make money, the Oz cricket board needs the matches to go to 5 days. So they might be bankrupt soon.

Grim boys. Grim. Brisbane is a pink ball test and Australia always win pink ball tests.

At effectively 105-1 second innings, it’s hard to see England getting a better chance. To only set 205 after that and then to bowl as they have, and set fields as they have, beggars belief.

The whole game beggars belief to be honest. But yeah.

Someone needs to put an arm around Zak Crawley for a start. He’s already the subject of several parody twitter accounts and his performance here is only going to increase his ‘popularity’.

I might have a rethink on my prediction of 2-3.

With the exception of a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, that was utterly miserable.

The English lose a test match inside 2 days, incredible, England win the toss yet again, Australia missing some front line bowlers yet it ended up as a hammering for England in the end, England can still win the series, did anyone foresee England losing inside 2 days ?
The total overs in the match they more or less used to play in one day in county cricket back in the day, it was like losing a test match in a day overs wise, amazing.

Considering what you said about the pink ball test, you might want to join me on 3-2 England.
Adelaide and Sydney will still be draws so I’m going England to defy history and logic in Brisbane and ruin Aussie Christmas in Melbourne.
