It's a sad demise of a darter MVG, was so dominant for 10 years and looked like he could do a 9 darter at will

I think his personal issues have fried his brain this year. If he gets over it he can still be a big player.

I recall when MVG was considered a threat to Taylor's record.
I don't think anyone will ever get close to it due to incredible strength in depth nowadays and external distractions.

That was vintage Anderson.

MvG is simply not the player he was pre-Covid. Still an incredible player obviously, but these days anyone can beat him. And he's in a world of trouble now rankings wise - could well be out of the top 4 by the end of the tournament. They'll probably still put him in the Premier League because of his rep, but he's definitely on the slippery slope.

Clayton down 2-0 already

Searle has too much for him here, he's outstanding at the moment

Clayton has been pretty awful really. Not just the doubling but his clutch scoring as well, at the end of legs. Just isn't there. You can't win a WC QF playing like that. Such a shame but there you go.

He had to pick up from R4 and he hasn't

But I still think hes in with a good shout of the PL
