How has Aspinall been snubbed when he was never in with a shout?

Searle , Anderson, Noppert, Wade have been snubbed, and for Bunting who has been awful this year

Price is done with the travel as well, but I guess he's accepted regardless

Yes, Bunting is the surprise wild card pick considering his 2025 performances. Anderson might have told them he’s not interested, Wade comes with a bit of baggage, Searle is only in the mix because of his WC semi, but Noppert is the one who can feel most aggrieved.

Bunting is in purely cos the crowds love his entrance.
We need to remember that the PL is non ranking and therefore more about ‘the show’.

Once the return of Nathan Aspinall went south, Bunting became a more important ingredient.

It’s a glorified exhibition.

The PDC don't need to put underperforming walk-on merchants like Bunting in. I don't understand why they do it, the tickets sell out in hours, it is baffling. It's a shame Danny Noppert went out early in the Worlds, I think a QF would have got him in. Searle can also count himself unlucky, last year they gave Aspinall and Dobey PL slots for getting to the semis.

Apart from Bunting though, it feels about right to me. Price got to finals night last year, so probably warranted another shot. Clayton has also been very consistent all year. As has Rock.

I've a feeling this could be the most competitive PL in years - Littler will probably be top, but 2nd to 4th is going to be very interesting.

Bahrain Masters started last night, complete whitewash on PDC side

Tonights games

Price v Littler
MVG v Bunting
Humphries v Aspinall
Van Veen v Noppert

I saw a few glimpses of this last night and several of the big names looked like they had better things to do. Both Littler and MVG were getting frustrated at the slow play of their opponents, Paul Lim was particularly bad. Littler, on the back of his big fat contract doesn’t need to go to Bahrain for what is basically pocket money for him.
