So what, Burnham can just replace this guy without a by-election?

Say what you want about the Tories but at least they didnt f**k about when stabbing one another in the back, this is pathetic

So around 3 months for a by election?

And then he would have to challenge Starmer which takes us to the end of the year or beyond?

What a carry on
Agree it’s pathetic. The proposed timetable is for the leadership election to be done by the party conference in September. So that’s four or five months of a government in limbo arguing amongst themselves. And that’s after 10 years of the previous governing party doing exactly the same thing.

It’s a dereliction of duty.

Whats the biggest piece of shithousery available to Starmer now? Apart from staying..

Time his resignation so that the leadership candidates are decided 1 day before Burnham potentially gets elected?

I honestly believe this is the new normal now. The media and social media hold way too much power. I said it the other day that once they start a feeding frenzy, people are generally toast.

This is all a pathetic power struggle at the end of the day. Starmer lacks any kind of charisma but having some boring stability at the top is probably what the country needs after years of Tory chaos. I do feel a bit sorry for the bloke as there are signs of things beginning to improve a bit.

They need to shine a light on Farage’s financial and other affairs and see what dirt is exposed. He’s been caught out with the £5m gift and there’s other impropriety. Let’s see what comes out of his investigation.
