    Raising Attendances

It does seem that way. For the size of Swansea and catchment area the support is poor, and has been declining whereas most other clubs support is on the increase. When we first arrived in the Championship under Martinez our average gate was almost exactly what it is now - just over 15,000...

Looks more like Congreve. In fact, so much so I imagine Congreve modelled for the artist. https://media.gettyimages.com/id/1230029468/photo/fa-cup-youth-match-swansea-city-u-18-and-qpr-u-18.jpg?s=1024x1024&w=gi&k=20&c=QvAJlqb_8kd9b14HM9E3dmmbY799GUBSWq9u8ffSn9U=

    2023/24 Financial Statements

That's a very good question. I guess that the owners hope that the possession-led playing model and data analysis recruitment will give us a competitive edge. That may be the case, but we're so far behind in other areas it's hard to see how we can seriously challenge for promotion.

    2023/24 Financial Statements

Great analysis of the state of affairs. However, there's no reason why the bubble will burst as long as owners are willing to make up the losses of £15 million or so a year. It's entirely sustainable as long as that will to stump the losses is there. Keiran Maguire, the expert on football...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Leeds United 2 Swansea City 2 | Att: 35,574 (784 Away) | The EFL Championship

I'm being generous. Let's say he's less ineffective further forwards. He scored in the Plymouth game and had two other good chances to score.

To br fair Fulton is probably more effective further forwards. Chances are it will be a 5-3-2 with Fulton in midfield. I don't rate our chances if that's the case.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Leeds United 2 Swansea City 2 | Att: 35,574 (784 Away) | The EFL Championship

At least Firpo isn't starting for Leeds, one of their top performers this season. Same with Tanaka, although surprising to see Ampadu start. Hopefully he will lack match sharpness. We may be going with a 3-4-2-1, with Fulton alongside either Cullen or Ronald behind Ronald or Cullen. Ronald up...

    Extension or farewell letter??

His top level is very high, but he needs to find consistency, as his performance levels have fluctuated too much. When he plays well we mostly play well as a team and win, when he plays badly we mostly lose. We really need him to be at the top of his game against Leeds on Saturday.

Yes. And drew with England. Although they lost the reverse fixture 7 nil. Go figure.

    Yesterday’s non penalty

We've had 1 penalty, only Oxford have had none. We've had 4 against, only 3 teams have had more against. We're also the most fouled against team in the league, whereas we're amongst the cleanest. With EFL refs a lot of dirty stuff is ignored, which doesn't help a smaller team like us. That shove...

    Yesterday’s non penalty

We're far too accepting of bad decisions, such as the failure to award a penalty against Sheffield United for the repeated attempts made by Rhys Norrington-Davies to foul Peart-Harris. He should have been sent off for a second yellow too. If we don't make our case no one will.

    Yesterday’s non penalty

Changes that came in in 2020 means that the handball by the Burnley defender should have been given as a penalty. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54321867 The relevant bit is this: "a player will be penalised for handball if the hand/arm is clearly away from the body and outside the "body...
