Spent the best part of 45 years travelling to away games , been to about 75 different grounds , many 3 or 4 times. Guess it's a combination of things, Swansea is miles from everywhere (it's nearly always a 10 hour bus ride there and back) don't think footballers give much of a toss these days...

We wouldn't have scored the first goal that Preston got against us, probably someone would have taken a couple of touches ,then it would have been passed sideways and backwards before eventually losing possession.

Not with us he didn't, couldn't even get us a play off spot with a really decent squad. His faffing about picking that useless keeper Nordfelt probably cost us that.

He was that good we had to loan him back in January for fear of missing out on him to bigger clubs.

Said that after the first game of the season, and some gave me pelters on here for it. Thought with the way pre season went and then the atrocious first day performance at Boro , that things weren't looking good.
