• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    I’ve been away (health update)

Well I’ve had an eventful couple of weeks. My illness was getting worse culminating with me collapsing last Wednesday and getting rushed to hospital. I was lucky to get a bed and was given IV fluids, anti sickness meds, painkillers and god knows what. Thursday morning at 1am I was wheeled down...

This is Catherine who sadly passed away suddenly last year. A one of a kind puss and one of the most friendly you’ll ever meet.

I adopted Scarlett (now called Sufy) back in November last year. She will be 5 this year. Like all tortoise shell cats they are the most curious and want to know what is behind every door and cupboard.

    The boys from the blackstuff

Just re-watched the lot on BBC4 and have to say nothing much has really changed for the working classes in 40 years. The pub scene with 'shake hands' and the guy doing the bird noises whilst the pot man snatches everyones drinks as someone put speed in the slops was funny, but the rest was grim...

    James Webb Telescope

Mind blown over these images. The light took 13 billion years to reach us so we are looking at stars and galaxies soon after the big bang happened. Incredible https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/science-environment-62137963

    Ukraine

Does anyone have a sneaking feeling we are not being told the whole truth? It was mentioned in yesterdays liaison committee that we had spent more in one year in Ukraine than we had on our own defence in 2 years. I don't know but something does not sit right here. Yes of course the Russians...

    Brexity types

We all know what the Brexity right wing types hate, the EU, foreigners, the arts and culture, diversity, inclusion, Pride, immigrants, lawyers, judges, the truth, facts, Glastonbury etc. I’m at a loss to understand what they actually like about this Britain they purport to love. All we ever...
