    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

    Makes sense 👍. It's not an area i know much about in honesty. If we do intend to buy the stadium i'd imagine they must see some advantage to it.

    Owning it would allow for certain infrastructure spends to be deducted from PSR allowances, currently anything we spend on the stadium is essentially renovating someone else's home. It would also mean we no longer pay the annual lease fee. I'm not sure what the agreement is with the council on...

    £300k of course is not an insignificant sum of money if you are close to the PSR limits. In reality £300k or £50 if it takes you beyond the parameters would still be a barrier.

    It would have to be commercial revenue though wouldn't it ? It's the only real way of increasing spend in line with the regulations isn't it ?

    The owners have made it clear that increasing commercial revenue is a major priority for them. This would then give us far more wriggle room. I'm sure i read somewhere that the EFL were introducing a new model next year, but i may have made that up 😂

    In what way ? If the club is currently on the edge of PSR limitations and the first installment payment would take them over the threshold then it makes absolute sense to ensure that payment is instead made in July. There is no loan fee involved in this so the club will only need to pay salary.

    We have an obligation to buy if we stay up, so it can't be that. From what i'm told the only condition is staying up - other than that no party can pull out.
