• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Your First Ever Game At The Vetch !?

PNE in FA cup, Jan 1961, stood under the double-decker with my Dad. Johnny King was in goal (a big lad, but surprisingly agile), the late great Harry at LB. Graham ‘flicka’ Williams was my hero! We won 2-1 and remained unbeaten in the league for the rest of the season, finished 6th I think...

    JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

Having been a Swans fan for over 65 years and living away from Swansea - for those first 40 I had to rely on the rugby-biased crap that is Weish national media. Thanks to you this site has been a lifeline of news and views on the Swans for the last 25 years. Many thanks Phil and I wish you...

Another incident when ball went into touch, Connor Roberts went to collect it - Frank kicked it away whilst chewing aggressively - Connor not amused!

    FA Cup Third Round Memories

Preston NE January 1961 - I was eleven and just moved with family from Bangor down to Carmarthen and was sick of wall-to-wall rugby so my Dad took me to the Vetch - we won 2--1 - I was hooked! We remained unbeaten for the rest of the season in the league and went from near the bottom of Division...

    Inoussa

Ronald is a fraud - he's got no pace, he can't cross the ball and he rarely beats his man and his lack of defensive awareness has contributed to Key's alarming decline. Inoussa should start.

Sheehan’s Seven: Make or Break for the Swans boss?

Excellent well-written article - the art work adds a touch of class.

The Official Match Thread | Season 2023/24 l Leicester City vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

Their left winger Mavadidi was a nightmare in the home game - Harrison Ashby up against him doesn't bear thinking about.
