Yes I agree with first para. Not sure about overwhelm though 🤔 But pound for pound quality of players, I think the Tosh team just edges it over Brendan But I count myself very lucky to have seen both. Plus the Laudrup team

So here's another thought when talking equivalence. Yes money wise different ball game between Premier and Division 1. But how about a comparison between Tosh's Div 1 team and Brendan's Prem team. I've seen both - and both were great. But if they played each other, I'd say the Tosh team...

An interesting thought. I haven't the details to hand but when Brendan took us up, how many of the promotion team carried on into the Prem. Looking at our current squad, and just say we fluked a play off, plus a Final win, I can only think that Vigouroux, Galbraith and maybe Tymon would cut...

Well, yes Brendan is great of course, but don't forget Tosh who got us to sixth in the first season up there. We also topped the table a few times in the campaign. I'm not saying you, but a lot think football started in the Premier era. Division 1 was the equivalent, under a different name is all.

Likely I said, not automatic. Bottom line I just don't favour the 7th and 8th change. Makes a mockery of merit. Money making. Why not down to 10th, usually only a few points off 8th. Just my view is all.

Of course, I'd completely get caught up in the excitement, I'm a football fan...but the heart rules the head in those moments. My head now says a team finishing eighth will likely get nuked in the Prem. No thank you to the humiliation is all.
