Yesterday’s non penalty

We've had 1 penalty, only Oxford have had none. We've had 4 against, only 3 teams have had more against. We're also the most fouled against team in the league, whereas we're amongst the cleanest. With EFL refs a lot of dirty stuff is ignored, which doesn't help a smaller team like us. That shove by Laurent on O'Brien leading to the second goal is a perfect example. In the Premier League that is called as a foul.
Who was our penalty against?

Sometimes they go for us sometimes they go against us. The whole thing evens itself out over the course of a season.

What every club in Premier League and EFL should be doing is demanding a better standard of officals.
This is one of the most over used statements in football that just isn't true, It doesn't even up over a season. We've had 1 penalty given to us, which was stonewall, and 3/4 we should've had which weren't given. Unless we get given 3/4 pens which aren't really pens in the last games, it doesn't even up.

I have had a good read of the rules and I have no doubt if VAR was involved and following the rules that have been set that it would have been given.

His arm is away from his body with clear contact of the ball to his arm, it's denied a clear goalscoring opportunity for Vipotnik as he has prevented the ball from getting to him.

I think it's another one to add to the list in recent years that we haven't got.

Would be interesting to see penalties for and against over the last 2/3 seasons.

It is probably over used because it's true.

We've had plenty of decisions go our way.

Bristol City away in the FA cup the other year when Ben Cabango split one o their players in half in half was one of the most blatant penalties I've ever seen which wasn't given.

It wasn't in an unnatural postion, that's why it wasn't given. The rule on this is pretty clear.

I remember the Evening Post ran a counter on poor officiating decisions for and against us one season in the PL. It may have been our first season, not sure. I'm pretty confident that it did not even up and we were on the receiving end of far more poor decisions than our opponents.

I'd say the referee not seeing it clearly would be a more likely reason it wasn't given. Although handball decisions are all over the place these days, I'm pretty confident that it would have been reviewed by VAR if in the PL and a penalty would have been given.

Not that it matters though, as we still would have lost the game to a clearly superior team.

Probably would have missed the penalty 🙈🤣

His arms were away from his body so was making his body bigger, it's quite a recent rule although not one I totally agree on but it's a rule.

This is why players now tuck both hands behind their backs when in their own penalty area.

"the other year" I thought *you said* it was over a season?

Edited for clarity

Ash used to handball twice a game in the Premier League and got away with it consistently.

No doubt, would have ended up in the Tawe.
