We might lose a million in revenue from slow season ticket sales, but a fast start to the season and reasonable ongoing success will see us recoup that. Decent football experiences will always put bums on seats.

I just renewed after a seasons lapse - I was genuinely fed up with the style of walking football we were playing and sense of hopelessness around the ground. I’m extremely happy with what we have been doing since Christmas (recruitment - new manager and a much more positive team and performances).
I sense genuine hope for next season and am a little bit excited with Widdell , Modric and his participation, the O’Brien news (if true) and whoever else comes in. The club has had a sense of freshness about it - long may it continue .

I think a lot of people - I'd count myself in this camp - are probably encouraged by the last few months, but want to leave it a bit longer to make sure they don't make a mess of this summer before jumping back in.

We've had too many false dawns in recent years so I think it's only fair enough.

The attendance has been much better the last couple of home games, I think they announced the Hull game was a home sellout? No surprise it's linked to more entertaining football and some decent results.
If the football is boring (as it was under Williams and Martin) and entire games just drift by with nothing happening, people will find something else to do with their time and money

Well I thank somebody for not renewing, as I got some very good seats yesterday for my son and I for next season, not too far from my old seats. My father and I had those from the opening of the stadium until the Yank takeover season, at the end of which my old man decided he was done. Now my son wants to go to every game so I figured we'll give it a shot.

The good news is my first year having a season ticket was our final season at the Vetch and I gave it up just before we were relegated, so I'm obviously a huge good luck charm and promotion next season is guaranteed...

If Sheehan does the business walk up crowd will be much higher.

In the end that’s what matters. Season tickets as great as they are I used to be one is fundamentally about thick and thin fans.

The walk up crowd is the key for us. We need to get a buzz back, an enjoyment that will also improve the atmosphere.

But this is dependent on the recent form being something more solidified.

Totally get what you mean about wanting to see some solid progress before jumping back in with a season ticket. I was in the same boat a couple of years ago, got burned after getting hyped up by some decent signings and a strong pre-season, only to watch it all unravel by October. Since then, I’ve preferred going to matches on an ad-hoc basis, I pick the games I care most about and hope for a good atmosphere and performance. Lately I’ve been checking for tickets away from the official site to get better spots or deals. For bigger fixtures or if I randomly decide to travel for a match abroad, I’ve used this place for football tickets, https://www.seatpin.com/. Pretty handy since you can sometimes grab decent prices and not have to deal with the usual site crashes or queues.

In our promotion season in 2011 was our 'normal' crowd much above 14 or 15k? I really can't remember, but I think any idea that we attract more than that is probably wishful thinking, unless we are battling for the top places. I'm hoping I'm misremembering. Fill it with kids on freebies if there are any unsold tickets.

Our average gate in 2010/11 was 15,507, literally 4 more than this season's average. We were 16th in the attendance table in 10/11, but 21st this year, only just finishing above Millwall, with Oxford and Luton having limited capacities. We've stood still while other Championship clubs have grown their support.

15 years ago there was no Swans Tv or hardly anything else. Need to factor in how many thousands of Jacks now watch from home in Wales, and how many overseas people like me watch. Those viewing figures for me are part of any overall attendance. Cant think of a better word than attendance but you know what I mean.

We have way more people watching in the USA than the likes of Millwall etc starting back when we were Swanselona in the Prem Lge.

NBC Sports had just got the contract a few years later and starting showing the majority of games instead of just ESPn showing 1 game on Monday. That 1st season the top 3 most viewed games in over 150 shown live we were No 1 and 3 in the viewing figures for the year. Man Utd away in the 3rd round of the cup when we stiffed em was No 1 and the other one was No 3 and it wasnt a big name club forget who. So games like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs etc were not top of the viewing charts. We were.

So there's a lot of americans that follow Swansea. And yes I know Wrexham now have american fans too.

NBC Sports streaming channel called peacock shows around 2/3 of NBC's live games. This is the viewing figures of how many americans watch Football ( soccer to them)

In its fourth full season of streaming live Premier League matches, Peacock drew a record audience of 1.15m viewers for a match when Liverpool visited Arsenal on 5 March, topping the million-mark again when 1.1m tuned in to watch the Manchester derby.

Last weekend’s “Championship Sunday” - featuring all 10 matches simultaneously(2023/24) - was the most-watched season finale in US history, with a "Total Audience Delivery" (TAD) of 2.9million viewers across NBC's streaming service Peacock and networks of NBCUniversal.

So I would say our fan base has grown exponentially. Wonder what the Swans Tv numbers are to add to being in attendance at the Liberty
