Fair play, amazing what they are doing.

Their crowds every week are phenomenal for a League 2 side side, generally around the 18,000 mark and think there was almost 25,000 there for the last home game.Fair play, amazing what they are doing.

The two I met in the pub in Victoria afterwards; one said to me “I don’t care if I never see another white f*****g shirt in my life”, then bought me a pint. We ended up swapping shirts. Still have it somewhere. Proper fans they were.To be fair their supporters were determined to enjoy themselves at Wembley despite their team getting hammered.
Funny that, sure their away kit last season was mostly white. The two I met in the pub in Victoria afterwards; one said to me “I don’t care if I never see another white f*****g shirt in my life”, then bought me a pint. We ended up swapping shirts. Still have it somewhere. Proper fans they were.

I remember the cheers they put out when they got a shot away in like the 85th minuteTo be fair their supporters were determined to enjoy themselves at Wembley despite their team getting hammered.
We’ll be coming up against their manager again next season of course…I remember the cheers they put out when they got a shot away in like the 85th minute
Would think it was a goal that put them 1-0 up in the 95th minute
Fair do's to them, they defied all the odds to get there and had to face some proper teams, it wasn't like they had an easy run. The only real difference is the Swans brought their A game from the first minute and leagues one and two were like 99% hoofball merchants back then with hardly any sides who tried to play the possession game.
Their manager after the game said that the experience would be a great lesson for them in how to play against that kind of football if I remember correctly. They later went on to get promoted via the playoffs that same season

Chelsea were the European Champions at the time and we kept them goalless over 180 minutes. Both of us had proper runs to the final that year. Always fun to use Cardiff as an example of the opposite, their run to losing the Cup final in 2008 included playing the lowest ranked side ever to reach the third round (Chasetown) and only 1 game against a PL team (Middlesbrough, who finished 13th that season).
Meanwhile Bradford had to beat 3 PL teams in Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa. We of course had to beat Liverpool and Chelsea to get there.
As an aside, I have zero memory of beating Boro 1-0 in the Quarter Final. I remember the 3-1 win over Barnsley earlier in the competition, but nothing about Boro despite the fact I would have been there.
