Farewell, Jerry: Yates Moves To Luton Town
Well, here we are then. Jerry Yates has officially departed our beloved Swansea City, heading to Luton Town for an undisclosed fee. While it's always sad to seejackarmy.net
Ooo I'm not sure about thatLet's be honest, firmly one of the worst signings in the club's history. Right down there with Aidan Newhouse, Pawel Abbott and Renato Sanches. And one or two others who don't immediately spring to mind, but you get the picture.
A poor signing indeed but well away from one of the worst in our historyLet's be honest, firmly one of the worst signings in the club's history. It's all contextual, and many will not agree of course, but I firmly believe he's right down there. Mainly because as he came at a time where as a club we didn't have a lot of cash sloshing around, but we hung our hat on him (and £2m) as a replacement for Piroe. There couldn't have been a worse fit for us if we'd actively tried. For me, he is our Championship-era equivalent signing of when we signed Clucas to replace Gylfi.A poor signing indeed but well away from one of the worst in our history
For what he produced on the pitch, I can see the argument, even if I think there's been worse.Let's be honest, firmly one of the worst signings in the club's history.
