Summer Transfer Window

Have we had one in the last 50 years? Glan Letheran? I must be forgetting someone.
I did consider Freestone, but we bought him from Chelsea.
None come to mind during my lifetime supporting the club

The closest if you count him would be Benda who spent some time in our youth/development side but he was never "one of our own" as they say

Dunvant boy Chris wasn't he?
Killay I think. His Mum, Susan, owned a shop in the precinct for years.

Edited to add:

That’s made me think actually. Who was the last player we had who was born in Swansea. Ben Davies and Connor Roberts were both Neath. I can’t think who’d be the most recent?

He's never played league One

edit: 2008-2017 he played in the National League, from 2017 until 2025 he played League Two.
Ok but 480 league games is plenty of experience as things stand he's number 3 he's obviously not on a big wage I don't see the problem with it Carson at Man City and Heaton at United I don't think have played a game

Would you rather let an 18 year old from the Academy have an absolute shocker because they're coming in cold to the Championship standard and then be shot because confidence is gone or let them go out and build confidence at a lower level to be able to come back and serve a genuine role for us at a smaller step up? For me I'd rather let our youth get valuable time in a lower league than stick them in the fire of the Championship.

Specifically about keepers because of the kind of position it is - other positions yeah let the youth try but being the keeper between the sticks is an unforgiving place to be.

100%.

Anyone knocking the club for this is being completely unrealistic about our finances.
