Curtis Woodhouse once went looking for someone who said something nasty about him on the internet. That’s well weird.
So did Belfast Jack... in the Globe I believe.
Things that annoy me more than they should? Swans News posting 8 articles a day, that are all AI garbage, 7 of which say the same thing, in slightly different ways.

My wife is having loads of emails about the prestigious art exhibition she has organised for September.
There’s loads of interviews lined up with different media outlets but whenever the details come through there’s no st,nd,rd or th.

For instance
September 1st is September 1
September 2nd is September 2
September 3rd is September 3
September 4th is September 4

Wtf is that all about then?
It’s winding me right up. 🤬
Did I mention I live in Spain, Gaz?
Anyway, over here, there's no 5th, 8th, 10th, etc.
When you talk about dates in Spanish, you just say September 5, September 6, etc. It was a bit strange at first, but now I do it no bother when speaking Spanish. Like making appointments by telephone, for example. It's simple and logical when you think about it.

One thing I'm glad they DON'T do is invert the day and month, like the Mericans. You know, like calling the date of the Twin Tower attacks on 11th September "9/11" instead of "11/09".

I don’t know about its simple and logical mind? strange why the Spanish language would drop it. Like how would you say in Spanish it’s my 35th birthday coming up on September 2nd, would Spanish include th for 35 but leave out nd for 2nd of September? Pure madness if you ask me.

They only drop it for dates, there is a word for 'fifth', so thirty five is 'trienta y cinco' but thirty fifth is 'treinta quinto', as in your thirty fifth birthday. On September 2nd, which is 'el dos de septiembre' which is literally 'the two of september'.
Got it?

Yes thank you. Hats off to you Pego, must be Ferking amazing to be bilingual. Kind of looks not that hard, but then it seems there are lots other things to take into account.

Pubs that don't put beer mats down on tables pisses me off! Most likely the guys behind the bar are too busy on thier phones to realise. 😔
Also toilet blocks in pub urinals that have been there since Paul Raynor scored for us against Panathinaikos 😡

Thanks mate, but I'm far from fluent yet! I've only been at it seven years.
Been in Germany for nearly 30 years mate and my kids are still embarrassed. No problem holding a conversation but the grammar is all over the place. Bought all the German grammar books years ago but they’ve been sitting on the shelves gathering dust. Mrs LJ Swedish and I can follow a complex debate in Swedish on TV but would struggle to say “can you turn the volume up?” Funny thing the brain.
