By that token, anyone who supports a war should go and fight in it, anyone who is concerned about winter fuel allowances should invite people to stay with them to keep warm, anyone who is concerned about homeless veterans should have them stay in a spare room, anyone who is worried about children being hungry should be cooking for them, anyone who is concerned about lawlessness should be patrolling the street at night etc etc etc.

We elect a government and pay tax for such things to be done on our behalf. Not to do it ourselves.

We have to have immigration as there are not enough people of working age paying taxes in this country to pay for the needs of the baby boomer generation who are now all pensioners in addition to all of our other needs as a society.

How much immigration is a debate, but unfortunately the ready supply of tens of thousands of immigrants that could come and go as they please to do all sorts of short term, temporary, seasonal work without bothering to bring their families with them has been removed by brexit. So we have to instead take people on a more permanent basis, which means families, and additional demands on infrastructure as well.

And those who come in on boats can no longer be returned easily back to the French camps many of them come from as our right to do that was also removed by Brexit.

If only it could have been predicted.
We will always be in the cycle of more immigration to top up the next wave of pensioners, endless ponzi scheme.

This week we had letter through the door that the council have accepted planning permission to turn a few houses in our local street to five bedroom houses that can house up to to ten people, these houses are small two/three bedroom houses. The street has gathered together to show concerns because they don't want these unvetted migrants living on our streets. I've have daughters and don't want to be in a situation where you have to be careful walking down your own street for fear of being sexually assaulted. I am now thinking of better security for the house and purchasing weapons to protect. I would not have dreamed of these situations years go. Now we are questioning selling up and moving.

I will be racist if it means stopping young children from being raped. Don't know if you follow the news around the UK, I would rather take no chances approach.

1000% this

The thick Brexit voters who are of course the same ones banging on about boats have caused this.

That’s what the current agreement is being negotiated with France. A returns agreement similar to what we had BEFORE.

Been arguing this for a long time. EU migrants were perfect.

Economically active
Young
Mobile
Largely healthy
No ties

Now we have lots of people coming who:

Don’t speak english
Economically inactive eg housewives
Settler here
More likely to use public services
Lots of ties.

Give yourself a clap reformers

I would feel the same about any unknown quantity moving into my area. It’s a massive disburance of tranquility, and honestly this applies to any HMO going up in a street, regardless of who they are.

I have rented accommodation next door to me, and currently there is a youngish Middle Eastern woman there, nicest person on the street. At the moment of all the neighbours, she is the nicest..

But yeah, I feel your pain, it’s the uncertainty of it all.

Are the rest of the neighbours black?
