Very surprised with the centre half choice (not that I’ve seen much of Lawler)Lawlor has about 7 first term appearances in his career. Starting him suggests that Bellamy doesn't rate Cabango in the slightest.
He's also left some of our other better players on the bench in Jordan and Dan James. It's good that we've done so well under Bellamy so far, Page would have been savaged for picking a starting line-up like this.
Heard good things about lawlor but Ben is a champ regular and probably one of the best cb's in the league. Bit of a strange one to be honest, particularly given Mepham is playing tooVery surprised with the centre half choice (not that I’ve seen much of Lawler)
I do understand having Brooks, Dan James & Jordan James on the bench for when the game opens up in the last half hour.
Many will disagree, but it’s become a squad game and having a couple of game changers on the bench is arguably a better strategy than relying on trying to win the game in the 1st 60 mins and then bringing on weaker players.
Bellamy has started well but will be judged on these next 4 games and any playoffs in March.
Unlikely with Tuesday’s game being a friendly. No doubt there’ll be 10/11 changes. He’s likely to get 90 mins then. Possibly even captain the side in SwanseaCould it be that we have requested that Wales limit the number of minutes Cabango gets? He is only just fit and missed a fair bit of pre-season...
This was obvious to me too. He isn't making offers or finding angles to receive passes where he could turn on it to threaten the defenders.Cullen not giving the angle to receive a pass. Happy to keep pointing or short pass to Thomas.
Didn’t realise he was playing.Cullen not giving the angle to receive a pass. Happy to keep pointing or short pass to Thomas.
He'll be a very good playerHate to say it, but Lawler looks quality. lol
