You make a lot of sense.

Any decent manager will get a proper tune out of such a talented, richly assembled deep 'n wide squad.

No need for 'time to jelly' excuses - our top recruitment team will no doubt have 'football intelligence, 'emotional intelligence' on their key selection criteria. These types of players get it, they know how to jelly, 'prompto'.

Sheeezy is our significant limiting factor. Our leadership will see this.

Some of our online average Joe sheeple need some proper ambishun, if not for themselves but for our Club. Proper fans most certainly do, our expectations are elevated, always.
You have jumped ahead of a few things here Billy.

How richly and talented are the squad?
Have we recruited that well especially based on 6 games, is that to early to judge?
Can we judge a manager after just 6 league games?

Further on, it can be then argued that the expectations of those who are elevated are too much and could be doing more harm than good.
The worry also does come in that if the leadership notice Sheehan's limiting factors then why didn't they see it when they appointed him? Which then puts serious questions onto them.

What if we are 12/13th in Jan but end up 10th come game 46........does he still have a job then?

It's all ifs and buts of course but this is where targets need to be put in place and followed upto the last game of the season.
We don't want to make knee jerk reactions if a manager gets a group to over perform(play offs) upto a point(Jan) but then eventually ends up in the place they expected him to finish from their target set(let's say top 10) at the start of the season.
A sense of expectancy needs to be managed and that needs to be followed even if we have a spike of unexpected hope.
I'll be here in a few years, saying now is the time, and you'll be saying the same bollocks about rebuilding like 2019 like a dementia patient saying..

10th is a decent season
The manager needs time
We need a rebuild
The squad needs strengthing
The owners are to blame

These will be repeated in 2029/30 like a raving loony is saying next year is my year over and over and over again.. what did Einstein say now

We've played six league games so it's obviously far too early to come to any kind of definitive opinion on how good a job Dimi has done.

It's probably easier to play down who he is if you weren't around at the time he was "contributing" to these forums. Speaking as someone who was, I don't think the idea of him having a position of serious power and influence at the club will ever sit comfortably with me.
Is it him though? I never knew his name, his full name at least, so why do we think it is him? Is it confirmed? If it is, it is possible that his online personna is completely compartmentalised and nothing like his real life personality. Online he was tenacious with a penchant for ‘winning’ conversations, which in itself is a mad concept but there’s no reason that tenacity can’t be put to good use in the real world.

It's pretty clear to see the Club cleverly hedged the Sheeezy bet - short term appeasement of the masses who demanded Sheeezy's appointment whilst having Plan A poised - it's all about timing.

No way Sheeezy is a Plan A, at this level.

You surely see this, Daps.

I can see why the 'rebuild' term worries some people that it will be used as a justification by the club for any eventuality.

From what I have seen, I do not think this ownership will work like that. So far Sheehan has progressed steadily and if he continues like this, they will back him and that could be with a finish from 4th-14th. As long as performances are good and we look competitive and like the players are developing well.

The last couple of weeks in the league have not been great, so it is important for Sheehan to prove he has not plateaued over the next block of 4-6 games. Personally, I have quiet confidence that we will start to click and create more chances and hopefully the constant back and forth over him can quieten down for a few months.

I love how the emphasis has changed considerably with these new owners in place, blind faith that our transfer dealings are mustard and players are superior and how our recruitment team are some data inspired aficionados when we've played a few games.. Duff came in and he was useless straight away, and Watson was the devil incarnate and the owners were robbing us despite pumping in 20 million a year, I treat everyone the same, but some people (Luke Williams, Martin) get elevated treatment, especially the foreign manager paradox, he's foreign, must be good, Duff on the other hand.. hypocrites people are

😁

You would be coming back time and time again repeating the same thing and eventually you will be correct(or possibly not 😬)

I get what you are saying but it's not as clear as you are making it out to be.

This is the first time I've said it on here, it's like reading a book over and over again, and it's getting on my t*ts, it's like a monty python sketch on here on repeat, originality is dead on here and it's like an AA class of agreement.

Dave - I'm Dave, and I'm an alcoholic
AA class - Hi Dave, thanks for sharing
Mick - I'm Mick, and I'm an alcoholic

It's too agreeable on here

I see concerns but it's to early at 6 league games with the amount of new players that have come in. I have seen enough of Sheehan since he took over in Feb to suggest he Is capable of getting something out of the squad.

There is always excuses of course, you have not been a fan of Sheehan from day 1 and like so many, you don't want to be wrong just like the rest of us.

Great start mate, so far your posts have mentioned a dementia patient and alcoholism, perhaps a mentally handicapped person next...

Fair mate, dementia and alcoholism affects many people's lives both directly and indirectly, and should be discussed in a sensible manner in my opinion. Anyway, welcome aboard. 👍
Except when it's donald trump or nigel farage, it's fair game then, this forum is full of hypocrites, high on their horse about someone, then change their tune about someone else.. I'll say it now, you'll always be treated the same by me

You don't seem to like this forum very much do you.

It's alright like, great for Swans news and stuff, people on here pick and choose their moral compass.. Duff is lambasted, Martin had a cult.. Boris ridiculed and mocked, Angela Rayner given a pass.. I know what type of person inhibits this forum, it's two faced, actors masquerading as moral superiors
