Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

17 league games and apart from Galbraith where's the evidence that any of our new signings are any good?

They've got three goals between them so far this season which if you factor in the three own goals scored by Burgess, we are 0 goals better off for having them.

They're all, at best, typical Swans signings of late. The odd flash of promise here and there but nothing of any substance.

At least one or two of these players will be going down in history as some of our worst ever signings.

Still waiting for the day you say anything positive 😆
I am one of the most happy clappy posters here.

FACT.

Stop talking shite and we’ll talk. No way Cabango blamed the fans so maybe it’s you that should think about posting something positive. 👍

Even Cabango has come out and talked about how the fan’s negativity is affecting the players
No idea if that's true or not. But if it is, then perhaps Ben, as captain, would do well to analyse why he's now on his sixth - yes, SIXTH - head coach in less than 5 years, instead of having a pop at the people who pay his wages.

It's hard to tell, hardly any of them ever start or get a decent run in the team apart from Ethan and Cam

Im really getting nervous about the team he's going to pick tomorrow. Fulton Cullen and Ronald have to go. Widdel,Stamenic and Franco have to come in. I would even consider giving Benson a start. He's hardly had a chance to prove himself. I believe if we can get the service in the box Vip/Idah will get the goals

I would like to see more consistency in selection and a commitment to the players a manager has faith in. For example, Inoussa to start for a prolonged period. However if we did just play the same team and system over and over with no improvement we would also demand changes. Inoussa started 7 games out of 8 earlier in the season, as did Stamenic and they were not making much of an impact so it makes sense that coaches have tried something else. There is a delicate balance between giving players time and expecting more from them and punishing repeated poor performances. Who would you like to see given regular starts and who would you like to see relegated to substitute appearances at worst? For me I think I would commit to Inoussa, Galbraith and Idah. Then I would favour Widell game time over Yalcouye especially if Walta is joining in January. Other than that, I do not think there are many obvious candidates who deserve a sustained run in the side. Idah is only because of the investment we made and not because Vipotnik is not deserving either so you could argue that would be misguided and I would have no rebuttal.

I get your point about playing them over and over without little reward and agree with it.

Stamenic was doing ok before picking up a knock and then death in the family. I think he'll come good with a consistent run in the team.

Inoussa may have started a fair few games, I'd be interested to see how many he's finished and when he's been hooked in games. This destroys confidence and often puts a player on the back foot in terms of trying things on the pitch or playing it safe when knowing you're more than likely going to be subbed.

Idah needs to start more games, even if it's with Vipotnik in the side, I think they'd complement each other up front. The money we paid for this lad isn't to be sniffed at and we need to get him in the team.
