There’ll be an unmistakable void where his voice once was in snooker’s commentary box and the in offs won’t sound quite as dramatic without his signature “where’s the cue ball going?” catchphrase as spoken by him.

I struggle to think of a bad snooker commentator. They all have their individual styles, but they all add to the atmosphere so well. John was great to listen to.
