Good luck to them, in all honesty, I was hoping they would fail! and I honestly thought Parkinson would have been gone by November. But they proved me way wrong.

Will they get promoted this season, with a bit of luck on their side maybe they will?

Of course we would, but we did it without being bankrolled. For some reason they can't accept that they are where they are because of cash

I’m not sure that they’re there because of cash completely.

It’s not as if they had an Arabian Knight in Shining Armour ride into Wrexham and bankroll them up through the leagues.

If you dig deeper into their fairy story, there’s a great deal of grit, determination and no small measure of nous which has led to their success.

Reynolds and McHelenney, by their own admission weren’t exactly the most clued up of people when they bought Wrexham in the lowly Conference League.

Maybe that was the plan, and the point, which was for them to cut their teeth with a club with as little initial outlay as possible and less risk for getting as much egg their face, unlike if they bought into a Premier League team, and their involvement caused the club they’d invested in to crash and burn down into the Championship.

Whichever way you look at it, it was a very smart and astute move, which has payed dividends as the partnership between them, the club and their fans has continued.

Also, it has to be pointed out that to label them as simply a cash rich club, that has gotten to where they’ve gotten to simply because of the funds that they have at their disposal, is an opinion which renders their achievements thus far, as irrelevant.

It is a very dismissive criticism which doesn’t truly reveal the bigger picture, which is they have quite literally done something of immeasurable merit for a club at Conference League level.

We as a fan base, would do well not to become like our entitled and envious neighbours along the M4 corridor, as they continue to refer to themselves as a bigger and better club than ours, despite evidence to the contrary.

Wrexham aren’t there yet, but if they do manage to get promoted to the Premier League this season from where they were, then it will be one of the greatest historical achievements in club football that you could ever hope for as a fan of your club.

A little bit away from the circus that played out on friday night I'm sure most of you saw the advertising for the summer preseason friendlies lined up by Wrexham this summer whereas we'll prob be still playing Cheltenham and Exeter again. That is not going to push us into the big league. Do anyone here think Snoop knows how we got on against Pompey and Stoke ?

We had the circus come to town with Snoop. They had the circus last night. I don't like Wrexham and their fan base and there thought process how they are the best Welsh team, but putting that aside, it was just another game for me. Cardiff games are always different. Do Reynolds and Co annoy me, yes. It's not like they have reinvented the wheel, many Celebs have done it. Difference is there exposer and the rise through the divisions. We move on.

Actually, they pretty much have to be honest. They’ve found a way for high profile owners to completely change the financial position, and therefore on field potential, of a club while remaining within the new PSR rules (that were effectively brought in to ensure clubs couldn’t do it thus retaining the status quo of the ‘big clubs’ remaining the ‘big clubs’ forever).

Hence why clubs like us are now attempting to do similar.

Their summer tour this season was a huge hindrance to the beginning of their Championship campaign. They toured largely with the squad from last season. They only had Ryan Hardie of the new players on their books for that tour. Parkinson was then playing catchup once the Tour in Australia ended. This led to a really slow start to this season, and ultimately might lead to them missing out on that playoff spot? The new players took time to gel after the tour. The performances and results in Australia were awful. These fancy tours aren’t always filled with positivity. They only had time to play one friendly in the Netherlands prior to the season starting. Which only included a few of the new players.
