• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

The thing that annoys me about it is it’s not really fair in terms of the revenue restrictions that we are battling.

This was basically a free party political broadcast which Sky and EFL allowed which will be included on their TV series to boost that which helps them to continue to lift their spending limits.

And to think, all we had to do to put a complete spoke in it was beat them.

Can’t cry afterwards when you’ve lost.

I’d get used to being annoyed!

When they get to the premier league they’ll be chosen for Sky coverage far more frequently than any other team outside the top 6. Which will have a direct result on their revenue.

They don’t get the revenue from their TV series. It’s an indirect benefit as it leads to extremely high sponsorship revenue.

Their summer tour this season was a huge hindrance to the beginning of their Championship campaign. They toured largely with the squad from last season. They only had Ryan Hardie of the new players on their books for that tour. Parkinson was then playing catchup once the Tour in Australia ended. This led to a really slow start to this season, and ultimately might lead to them missing out on that playoff spot? The new players took time to gel after the tour. The performances and results in Australia were awful. These fancy tours aren’t always filled with positivity. They only had time to play one friendly in the Netherlands prior to the season starting. Which only included a few of the new players.
When they’re playing Liverpool at Yankee stadium while we’re playing Exeter at St James’ Park I’m sure they’ll be very mindful of how much of a hindrance they’re suffering…

Mixed feelings on this - he doesn't say anything i disagree with at all, but does he need to say it publicly? Would he said this had we have won?
He will get called out for sour grapes.
I agree. We had the perfect opportunity to make them all eat big portions of humble pie, by winning. We failed miserably, so best just to shut up.

A bit blinkered and naive from him?

Given what happened down our place with Snoop and the PNE game?

You can't have it one way and then come out with that when the shoe is on the other foot.

Completely different. Wasn't on sky either and the main channel drooled over Wrexham all game too.

Was the Snoop game live on Sky?
No!
Shut up Dapsy.
It wasn't the live game but it was certainly all about us and Snoop.
It was even on the 10 o'clock news.

Not 100% the same but for me it was certainly comparable.
If we won then we wouldn't be reading those words printed, I am sure.

Andy Hinchcliffe had a boner every time they touched the ball.

No issue with Wrexham and their incredible journey, no issue with our CEO having a pair of balls and standing up for our club either.

We have no idea what on behind close doors between both clubs and Sky.
