• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Sky Sports should always be impartial to both teams, having the Reynold’s production company covering the match is absolute bollocks. It’s not small time thinking, it was a normal championship match and all that pathetic kissing up to them was atrocious. And no it is not jealousy, I will never ever be remotely jealous about Wrexham. So do one ECB.

Triggered again mun.

Put me in the camp of saying well done to calling it out. If it’s not then it’s free licence to continue.

Definitely will come across as sour grapes but worth it to have the balls to say it.

Couldn’t give a monkeys about Wrexham but let’s keep it at a level playing field and not allow them to continue to increase their revenue streams while us and other clubs don’t get the same platform to do so off the back of the EFL and Sky.

I meant a joke that Wrexham have had so much of the limelight

We had the oputuninty to shove it up them and bottled it

I know what you meant. There was a huge amount of fans calling it out on X. It obviously will be used for their new series and the Sky and the EFL shouldn’t be allowing preferential treatment for any of the clubs. It is wrong for them to have had all that malarkey on the night. Imagine us playing away to Leicester and Sky decide to have one channel dedicated to Leicester. It’s just absurd and absolute bollocks.

The result is absolutely nothing to do with all this stuff. I would assume that it is not part of the TV contract between Sky and the EFL that certain clubs would get preferential treatment in the channels coverage? Why should Wrexham be afforded this privilege and no other side? It will be used in their TV show and therefore means it will benefit them financially in the long term.

The discussion is actually around whether this is now sport or entertainment. If it’s sport, that’s one thing and Gorringe has a point. But it’s not is it. It’s entertainment. And as such Sky Sports can entertain in whatever way they see fit. They’re not a news channel. Ofcom are not going to tell them off for being biased. You see it every single week in the premier league.

And the ridiculous thing is - we are also trying to make it about entertainment. Which is why a matter of weeks ago we had everyone twirling towels around their heads.

What gorringe is actually bothered about is Wrexham are doing exactly what we are trying to do. And at the moment they're doing it much better. And we are an afterthought. If we’d had wall to wall coverage with Snoop (perish the thought) or Modric (would be a huge pull) commenting in the way Ryan Reynolds and Rob whatever his name is were doing people on here would be all over it.

But until that happens the club should shut up. We are not the right people to take a stand on principle any longer.

BTW - if they go up, they’ll be on Sky every week. So people had better get used to it.

It's all a big circus act. They aren't going up anyway and they won't make the playoffs
