Anyone cut the grass yet?

My pond water was at just above 10 degrees, its been slowly rising these last couple of weeks, just over 14 degrees now, Koi don't mind the temperature rising its dropping sharply that causes problems, so I hope that doesn't happen.

My fish was piping hot, and the beer cold in a chilled glass, cheers

Did my lawn today and then weeded one of the borders. I need to clean the patio and paths and also the driveway. May get some of it done tomorrow as it’s a late kick off. I’m not a fan of gardening so the weather has to be good for me to get going.

I think this is the earliest I have cut it! The grass bag was about 75% full, where normally I leave it so late, looking at about 5 full grass bags worth.

Was it? God knows. I mean obviously the weather, can play a part in making the grass grow like crazy, but I can’t see me getting 5 grass bags full in April.

Hmm, food for thought that, admittedly I have let it go over the years, and then had a right toil when it had grown so long.

Anyway all done now, and going to keep on top of it .

Kudos on the detective work there Sherlock, it took me a little bit of tiresome scrolling to discover it was indeed the 12th April, the scary thing reading back through some of those posts, they seem way more recent than a Year! Has it really gone that quickly.

Mission accomplished this weekend; all assigned jobs executed with aplomb. Enforced break for the footy (we shall not go there). Bonus point awarded for a successful MOT for the BBQ, which wasn’t on the task list. Small issue: Mrs C isn’t keen on the colour that I painted the garage doors. But to end on a positive note she chose it, not me.

Mine had its first trim towards the end of February, but it was looking as rough as a badgers …… afterwards. It had a second cut last week and a shorter trim today and it’s looking a better. My Mrs doesn’t know much about gardening, so she’s happy it’s green and short - albeit it’s nearly all moss. She’ll go mental when I scarify it.
