Yes once a day. When you see it first appear, if you refresh the page it goes away without opening another window. If you click a thread whilst it’s there it always opens a new window.

Thanks all, at least I’m not the only one getting fed up with it.
I’m not saying that I’m glad other people have the problem just that it’s not a problem on my equipment. Yes, gambling ads should be banned.

Yes, I see this. It also appears to log me out, but this can be undone only by hitting the back button, sometimes needing several hits. It’s a bit of a PITA.
