• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Two different types of striker. Idah seems to be more agile / mobile than Vip but can he convert that into goals over a season. The service Vip gets is mediocre at best but he’s a goal machine.

Swansea have placed a £15m price tag on Slovenia striker Zan Vipotnik, 24, who leads the Championship goalscoring charts and has attracted interest from Brighton. BBC

Just the usual unfounded gossip
Talking to my mate last night about him, and he reckons if he goes , he will got abroad, probably Germany

Forget the goals for a minute -is it just me or has the quality of Vip's hold up play and first time lay-offs also improved dramatically just lately?
That Leicester goal showed a different dimension to his game as well.I think we should be looking for 20 million plus - at his age and with a long contract extension.

Confidence will do a lot for a player. He’s eager for the ball and confident with it at his feet - something he wasn’t doing last season

You would expect that his agent ensured a trigger clause in his new contract.
Who knows what that figure is?

His one touch layoffs and passes out wide have been improving consistently over the whole season and are becoming a genuine feature of his game

As much as I want us to get every penny we can for Vipotnik if we do sell him, I'd say his agent would have been doing a terrible job for his player (and the agent's own bank account) if he advised him to sign a new contract here that didn't feature a realistic release clause.

Exactly.
Whatever that figure is, is the amount that we'll get.

In my opinion, this is why we have to sell this summer when we can get the most possible for him.

"Because Vipotnik is out-performing an xG of 11.61 by 9.39 goals. In other words, he's scored at least nine more goals than statistics would suggest."

There is every chance he reverts to a more normal scoring rate. From what I have seen, I would bet on Idah outscoring him next season if they both stayed. Will always remember this year though, some of the purest finishes you will ever see. Has been great to have him firing like this.
