Spitfire flypast

Tuesday 14th April. leaves North Wales at 10 am , expected to take about an hour to reach Swansea area.

We're fortunate where we live, right on the doorstep of Biggin Hill airport. We often see a Spitfire overhead and occasionally a Mustang.

The noise of the Spit's engine gets me every time!

Swansea bay, hopefully, but the weather is going to be shite tomorrow.

By all accounts it's been cancelled for today. Maybe scheduled for tomorrow although the weather isn't looking great either.

yes thats what the ir web site says, if weather is ok they will do the todays and tomorrows stages in one go.

Latest ive had is its taking off at 2 pm today weather permitting.

Yep, took off from Holyhead at 4pm, passed over Swansea bay around 5ish, albeit the cloud was quite low.

Yes , I seen it, but it was just a small speck sadly, not helped by the cloud , but engine noise was audible, and she was travelling at 200 kts , that looked quite fast , would have been outstanding to have seen them in theoir day at full speed.
