• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I mean...... How far have Chelsea gone. Even as a Swans Fan I would be super disappointed if he was our manager. Imagine how they feel.

Hull were mad to sack him

He’s progressed well every season as a Manager and think he will have a great future career. He said in the past Swansea philosophy has influenced him. Would have been a good appointment after Luke Williams

Not sure he’s right for Chelsea though. They are trying to replicate the Mourinho appointment but as Potter & Marasco have shown it’s not working. They need someone with experience to appease their ego who can bring instant success I.e Ancelotti
A club with little patience

They're basically making the same mistake as they did with Potter then.

It'll only take one defeat and all the usual stuff will come out about them having taken him from a small club in a farmer's league, he's got no experience at a big club, he's not a big enough "name" for Chelsea etc etc.

I give him no more than a year and very little of it will actually be his fault, it's because the club is a basket case.

Totally agree

Chelsea is the biggest poisoned chalice in the entire world of club football. They have chewed up and spat out the biggest managers in the game (as well as some of the biggest players, you only need to look at de Bruyne and Salah for evidence of that)

I'd probably add Manchester United in there as well, but you're not wrong.

Yep. At least Chelsea's managers generally go on to do well elsewhere after leaving (Sarri and Conte have both won Serie A titles, Tuchel won the Bundesliga and now manages England, Pochettino is still linked to every big club vacancy, etc).

Man United's ex-managers have found life a lot harder after being at that basket case of a club. Apart from counting their money of course.

Hell of a fucking job if you can get it
Work for three and half months for five and a half years of salary

They surely can’t give him a £24m pay off after three months of employment? There must have been some sort of minimum performance clause included.
