• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Somewhere in the middle of that long clip I posted is a view of the York goal, but from the opposite side. In fairness to the lino he was bang in position, but it’s still heck of a call considering the bodies that were in there.
Yeah its what I was thinking

A ref would have to have some serious balls to give that in favour of the away side in the 103rd minute knowing that it would deprive the home side of automatic promotion and consign them to the lottery of the playoffs.

You could see from the reverse angle that the lino was in the perfect position and flagged for a goal straight away. The scorer shot from about two yards out and it hit a defender in the midriff and bounced back out. If you look where that defender's feet are, he's clearly the best part of a yard behind the line when the ball hit him, so I think goal was the correct call.

Officials get a lot of stick and rightly so a lot of the time, but these guys deserve heaps of credit. To get that call right, at that moment especially is a big case for human officiating. Pure football at its best!

Yeah I wasn't convinced from the first angle at all but when you see it from the other side it does look like it's just about over. Fair play to the linesman for being able to spot that in real time with all the bodies in there!

Fair play, after everything they’ve been through Rochdale have just equalised in the 95th minute in the playoff final!

Well done Rochdale. On penalties after the season they’ve had.
Yep, no dog in the fight, but they definitely deserve it for getting 100+ points in the league.

I do have a soft spot for some of those ex league clubs stuck in ‘non league’. Partly good memories of going to those footballing outposts as a kid and partly the fact that it could so easily have been us!
