• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Folks, after the news of Phil hanging up his proverbial boots and riding off in to the sunset after 25 years of putting up with clowns like myself, I'm wondering if anyone fancies meeting for a beverage of their choice after the game next weekend?

Despite what many people think of me, I'm acutelly not that bad, I would offer to buy those who have me on ignore a pint. I'm not going to though, because A) they can't see this and B) I wouldn't be able to afford it.

It would be nice to put a face to the username if anyone fancies it 🖤🤍

Unfortunately I have a restaurant lunch to go to after the match, a gathering of friends and family which we do every year to remember a fellow Hereford jack Brian, who is no longer with us. I'll be in the Alma before the match for an early pint though.

I haven't been to a game since 2019 when Wilmot scored the goal that beat Cardiff at the north end of the Liberty, having the games on the tele suits me to be honest home comforts and all that.

Another time Smurph. I will have my wife in tow on Saturday (she doesn’t know it yet).

Cheese dude, kind of you to say 🙏🏼

Let’s see how it goes and we can arrange a meeting point towards the end of the week.
Would this be close to the stadium as I’ll be there for the game?

We could head to the Mel Nurse bar after the game or the Plough always does a decent pint.

Open to suggestions on a location, whatever is easiest for everyone.

Does the Mel Nurse bar let non season ticket holders in after the game? I'm with someone who doesn't have one, but it would suit us to pop in there for a pint before going for our restaurant meal.

Anyone with a match day ticket can get in the Mel Nurse bar 🍻
