We will all be kissing Galbraith's ass this time next week when he signs his extension. It's all about the poke, Galbraith will sign, then probably get his move in January (same as Vipotnik). Both sides happy. Football aye 😂
Even if he doesn't the lad has another two years with the option to extend for another year.

Not like we're desperate to sign him up before he leaves on a free.

Vital saying looks like he’s off. Will be very interesting to see how we potentially replace both him and Vipotnik. Should get some good money in this summer, gotta spend it properly though.

It’d be interesting to see how much he goes for if true. We’ll clearly make a decent profit but I’d be surprised if it’s much more than an £8m fee up front.

Can’t see an established PL team coming in for him so you’re pretty much looking at a relegated club or possibly one of the teams promoted to the top flight.

I’d imagine that unlike Vipotnik you haven’t got the added option of clubs all round Europe interested.

Let's be honest, I think it was clear enough that he wasn't totally happy playing at RB.....that wouldn't have helped.

That reminds me, where has Trucker been for the last few weeks 🤔

If its true he has unfolliwed and removed Swans content... From his account.. Then it's clear something is up. If he is unhappy then move him on. He did play the same game with his last club when wanting to join us. Who knows what he is like as a person, but he isn't doing himself any favours. Loyalty in football hasn't existed in ages but acting like this won't help him. I have been saying it for weeks, I like him as a player but I wouldn't lose sleep if he is sold. Does this annoy me? 100%. Call me silly but I really do dislike a player being a diva and playing games. Do it behind the scenes. But when it's public it tends to lose my support.

Who knows if such rumours are true or not, but if this is true then it would smell of a manufactured grievance initiated by perhaps an enquiry from a bigger (more money) team to the agent.

Yep. We're fine in midfield. If he wants to throw his toys out of the pram after a decent year in the championship then off he can pop. He accepted a contract offer with us less than 12 months ago and was offered under 52k more after less than a year, so he's hardly getting a sore deal is he
Yep 100% agree. I think he has had his head turned by all the praise he has had. If true then he can do one. I still think he will go to Wolves, West Ham etc.

Regardless of his feelings about the contract offer, this entering the public domain and then the stunt with his social media seem ill advised. The club could keep him here and let him rot in the reserves for three years if they wanted to.

Indy says that the club are looking into the source of the leak and if its determined to be from the player's camp then Cravatt and co won't take it lying down.
Throw it out there Marg? Conspiracy Theory in full flow 😂 announcement him leaving at end of season? Any links? Who knows
😉😂

Joking aside it sounds like either Galbraith or his agent has leaked something and this might be the breach of contract and wishdrawl of offer this week. I say get him on the next stagecoach out of Swansea 😂

He's had a decent season and looked like a good player for most of it. I'm not so sure there's a host of premier league clubs looking to sign him just yet.

I understand that but why is this situation not repairable from both sides?

All it needs is a promise of him playing midfield next season which he was starting to anyway before his injury.

The contract offer might have been insulting but he has 3 years left its not exactly like we even had to offer him any sort of major increase now anyway.

He has the right to feel a bit insulted of his lack of midfield playing time and the new contract offer no doubt but this just seems completely blown out of proportion from his side and almost like he wants a move regardless.

The fact that the contract rejection was leaked in the first place probably is a sign of that aswell.

If Galbraith is playing up then it's not gonna be good sign for him in future. I have 0 doubt that another lot of fans from X club will be saying the same thing about Galbraith when he wants a bigger move again. He went public with wanting to join us way before he was signed for us. So non of this is a suprise to me.

From my pov this looks entirely on him.

We didnt even have to offer him any sort of increase right now (regardless of it was an embarrassingly low amount) we could have easily said to him You have 3yrs left we can discuss this 12-18 months down the line.

I agree that the apparent offer was insulting and his lack of midfield playing time has annoyed him but again this was/still is easilly fixable if HE wants it to be. The club could easily promise him that he'll play midfield next season and they can apologies and say that they got the negotiations wrong.

I'd be disappointed if this how it ends because hes clearly manufactured it so it can end this way.

It can certainly be repaired but both parties need to give for that to happen. The Ferrie Bodde situation is a good reminder.

The club are in a position to not offer him a contract given the length of one he is on. It would suggest that he feels he deserves more money and this could be based on how he believes he has performed or he has got wind of other players wages.

We offer him what we can afford and prepared to pay him. He either signs it or we set a price and await interest.
We might have a player who creates and wants out and that then likely drops the fee a bit. We don't want a player hanging around who doesn't want to be here.

The question is, what do we realistically ask for that would be a fair fee......8M?

Should we now have doubts about if he has really been injured or has he used it as an excuse.

When he came off playing for NI it looked a tactical decision, as he ran off, certainly didn't look as though he was carrying an injury.

I may be wrong but it looks a bit suss to me. ( Other opinions are available & valid ),

Vips contract renewal definitely would have played a role in this and he probably wants similar to what he is on atm. That is fine by me he is our best player and he should be paid accordingly.

However i will say it doesn't matter how insulting the offer is he has given the club no time to rectify that mistake.

By the sounds of it he has made up his mind by leaking it to the press and his social media antics.

On the point of the fee we should be looking for id say 8mill would be embarrassingly low. 12-15mill Is a fair value for the time being.
