• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

May as well make one final 'grumpy old man' thread before the board disappears! :ROFLMAO:

Anyone else hate hot weather like this? Uncomfortable to sleep in, birds tweeting at effing 4am, roads are mental, going in to most offices without A/C is hell. I can't wait for it to cool down again.

The only time I don't mind this weather is if I'm sat by a pool for a week.

I'd take Oct-March over the summer months any day of the week.

Sunshine automatically means beer must be consumed up and down the country.. proper Britain.. then you'll have the Europeans sipping wine at night while they all eat at 10pm.. plus they all drink water religiously.. whilst we all indulge in binge drinking.. uppa UK!

Innit,it’s a fucking threat to life now ffs.
Bob Geldof will be organising a concert next week.

A+E will be mental with people suffering from dehydration.. the coffee machine will take an hammering.. they should have a water dispenser ASAP

Heat exhaustion for those that do physical work is no joke. Ah just noticed who the main contributors are, never mind, as you were.

Working in it is proper hard work, driving not so bad with aircon on max though :ROFLMAO:

If I may put a slight mitigation in defence of binge drinking Brits, In the Uk we have a few days of really nice weather, and then that’s it! Where as in comparison to the other countries, they are more or less going to be basking in similar temperatures all summer long that we in the Uk have now, till most probably late September. IMO nothing wrong with a few beers out the back, and a little bit of music. Look 7 days in advance and the weather is about to drop to 17 or 18 degrees, plus rain as well.

Some people don't know what it's like to have fun.

Nothing better than sinking a few cold beers when the weather is like this.

Just admit you've got a problem, the first step is always the hardest etc.. Dr's have categorically stated, hydration.. not drinking 20 pints and complaining you're f*cked the next day.. on holiday, go for it.. drink the sea.. but millions in this country will be at a public house or 5 cans of strongbow/lager a night in the house.. because I'm a big tw*t

Don’t bother it’s nothing to do with alcohol with these fuckers they’re just naturally miserable.

You've got drink drivers galore on the roads these days an all.. I know a bloke who drinks about 10 pints up the bingo and drives himself home.. drink a pint and then drive, but he's guzzling 10!

You should inform the police before he kills someone.
