You can't hope for no bitching on here mun, that's literally never happened. There's plenty of point scoring, saying 'I told you so' and bitching about players positions to be found, but by JA standards, it's pretty much Shangri-La tonight.

Strongly agree. When people question the existence of the BBC, I often suggest they compare the quality of sports coverage to ITV and ask if that's how they want to watch sport in the future.

Aren't they the reason that points deductions started to be handed out to teams that entered administration? I have a vague memory that they cynically used administration as way to clear their debts.

It's probably become a little stale and due a change now, but Neville and Carragher coming on to Sky's Monday Night Football show was a stratospheric improvement over the awful Keys and Gray. It seems more of a problem that the skills for being good at punditry, especially on live television...

I'll accept that my other post was highlighting my concern about over-hyping a new player. I think you've missed my attempt at humour in this post though.

I watched the Watford highlights and there was some brilliant play bringing the ball out of defence (that led to an effort on goal by Franco I believe) that was genuinely impressive stuff. Hoping to see more of that and suggests he will be a scary sight for fullbacks when he comes off the bench.

I like to think that at the moment you posted that, a certain ex-poster and noted Mark Gower fan felt a great disturbance in the Force... More seriously, I don't mean to harsh anyone's buzz on Walta. Dreaming that our new signing is going to be a superstar is half the fun when someone comes in...
