It was the first time in an age that we seemed to have had a plan in place knowing what positions we wanted to strengthen. The fact that players from last season seem to have regressed suggests a coaching or tactical issue so like I said hopefully this is something Matos can improve on

Again, it was one of the best windows we've had for as long as I can remember. The whole squad, apart from 2 or 3, have been performing below par. Hopefully Matos cna remedy that

How? We hadn't signed the West Ham lad at the time, and only signed him as Cabango was struggling with an injury and Santos was out for an age. We signed him as 3rd choice

Matt Grimes, Captain of Coventry City.

Due to our tactics? He's been one of the championships most consistent players for years and no surprise to see him flourishing now

Positives - No longer constantly losing out on second balls. Not leaving huge gaps between the lines, Moving the ball a bit faster. Much more movement

A bit of both is needed, I remember Laudrup was excellent at looking at how to exploit team's weaknesses

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

As I said last week, the speed at which this Matos deal came about I'm not sure Hellberg was the absolute stand out choice. We were definitely speaking to Matos during that first week, and he had obviously impressed in discussions with the club
