For what we've paid for some of these signings we are entitled to have expected more by now though. These aren't 750k punts but some have played as such since joining.

Someone working for the club would have more of a vested in portraying everything the club/ recruitment team does as a positive than fans talking on a forum (for whom there wouldn't actually be any vested interest). Just saying.....

Young striker whos scored a lot of goals at youth levels has signed a senior professional contract. Hopefully he gets minutes before the end of the season.

His permanent appointment was a disaster and the club were absolutely correct to act when they did to stem the flow. I understand why it happened but we fell into the inevitable trap of appointing a successful caretaker.

Again, I'm not criticising the practice per say. Its the application of it thats what needs monitoring. The club already have people paid well to make decisions such as this. They shouldn't require mail from fans for this.

Again, this isnt a black or white thing. We shouldn't be allowing an assistant manager to sign our most expensive signing in years under the circumstances we did. I e assistant with no real record of success for a club struggling in the championship. Free transfer or loan, then yes, different story.

Logically I agree it makes no sense.

Liverpool had the luxury of being able to spend that sort of money backing a successful manager. A struggling championship club shouldn't be doing similar with an assistant manager who's soon be sacked. As I say, a time and a place, under the correct circumstances.
