Think his stats are a bit misleading in terms of creativity. Got 3 assists for Sirius last season but had an expected assists of around 8. He seems very forward thinking looking at clips. Some brilliant passes and switches of play. Looks a free kick Specialist too.

It’s a bit odd to me that all this comes out in the order it has. Those two other midfielders look like back up options to Walta. Would we have bothered making bids to Ajax and Molde for two other midfielders anyway if we were in negotiations with Walta? I’m going to believe Romano and hope we...

We are definitely not safe, we’ve got to start putting our chances away to get to that point. Oxford have done some pretty good business and Portsmouth aren’t a terrible side, West Brom and Blackburn have good players, plus Norwich won’t go down. We’re nowhere near safe yet.

In terms of overplaying himself, he has been clinical and is over-performing metrics (XG in particular) but I also think his low XG is equally down to the type of shots he takes. So many of his chances are from low probability areas that I think it skews the stats somewhat. I totally agree with...

That’s a fair point, we could get a bit more if they are desperate but I don’t see there being a whole lot of difference between what they’ll pay now and what someone else (not necessarily a PL team) might pay if he gets 20+ goals this season. Even if we were offered good money in the next few...

On that Vipotnik to Burnley thing: There is literally no advantage to us selling him in this window. Usually when we do those sorts of things we’re selling to get maximum value because a player is running out of contract. That’s not the case here. You’d have to imagine that we can get a higher...

Wrexham (Away) 8pm, Friday 13th March - Now Sold Out!

If they continue on this trajectory, they’ll be Premier League soon enough. I’m not old enough to have remembered playing them before this season so I don’t really feel anything towards them, I’m just glad it isn’t Cardiff. It’ll be interesting to see how far Parkinson can take them, they’ll...

    Josh Tymon.

You’re right, got 7 last season and 6 the season before. Not sure what I was looking at. Still I’d expect him to get more than that this season based on where he is now. Could easily have had 2 more on the weekend.

I was surprised to see that is his highest tally of assists for us in a league season. Could well be on for 10+ 👏

Yeah, I wouldn’t be opposed to that idea. Hasn’t Arthur Parker just gone out on loan? I would have said based off of the last preseason that he was probably the most realistic option.

We need a CB in from somewhere. Casey gone and Santos doesn’t seem trusted, hasn’t even featured in the cup. Ward has barely played. Would expect us to get one on loan before the end of the window.

    Our away form.

Away results have been poor but performances have not. That’s what we’ve got to focus on. If we were getting trampled away in most games then we’d have a worry but most of our recent ones under Matos have been close score lines and we’ve failed to take advantage when on top of the play. We’re...

Agree re Cabango. Lots of harsh criticism when that’s really the only glaring mistake he’s made this season, usually solid. I do think that we may have to eventually get quicker CBs to make this style of play really work but that’s a different conversation. I would say certainly in the last 3...

Didn’t see the game but we seem to be doing a lot better and as frustrating as it is, we won’t always miss a hatful of chances. How did Nunes look?

We’re actually doing okay by the looks of things not able to watch the game so just going by stats and what people are saying. We’ve conceded because of a Cabango handball (which rarely happens) and apparently Slater scored a worldie. Get our shooting boots on in the second half and we might get...

Not optimistic with that midfield. Fulton and Franco have been brilliant recently but Widell is what ties it all together for me. We might struggle without his workrate.

What are your opinions on him? I haven’t seen too much praise for his recruitment at Celtic.

He’s not had a good season at all but I like Kyogo and wouldn’t be disappointed if we got him. Think he could do well in a Matos side. Can play on either wing too, might be useful for us.
