    I have thought the same, plus it took Gyokeres two seasons of healthy goal scoring before Sporting paid big money for him.     They finished 5th last season and the three relegated PL teams all looked in a good position to go straight back up when the season started. I think even the most optimistic Coventry fan would admit to some surprise that they're top of the table and certain to go up.

    As much as I want us to get every penny we can for Vipotnik if we do sell him, I'd say his agent would have been doing a terrible job for his player (and the agent's own bank account) if he advised him to sign a new contract here that didn't feature a realistic release clause.

    That's the optimistic viewpoint and the one we all hope is correct. Not proven to be correct yet though.     If he's that good and with 2 years left on his contract after this season (with the option of another year), why on earth would they sell him to us for £500k? That would be like us selling Vipotnik to a PL team this summer for £5m.
