• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out.

    Right wingers

I’m not an expert in up and coming attackers but I’d expect us to go with players who have experience either in the Championship or English football. That’s what’s been said by the likes of Wales Online and even Matos himself I think. It might even be why Adam Worth has gone. I don’t see there...

    Yet more upheaval?

It’ll only be time to worry if our DoF appointment has a “Jobs for the boys” connection. Coaching staff can come and go and as long as Matos is happy and they can carry out his instructions I really don’t mind. No compromise with DoF though. Needs to be someone suited to the role.

    Loan Players 25/26

Yalcouye I’d say was a success. Inconsistent but made an impact. Could have and probably should have had a few more starts. Casey was good when he played. It’s tough to say much about the rest because we didn’t see much of them really.

Joint 10th place (11th on GD)

100% agree, I just wouldn’t view us as the same club that let a lot of those players leave. Much of that was under Kaplan & Levien. While the “new” guys were involved with K&L, they’ve at least shown some ambition by wanting to do commercial deals to increase revenue and opening The Swansea Jack...

Joint 10th place (11th on GD)

In fairness, you don’t always have to hold on to your best players to progress, you just have to know how to spend the money you receive. Brentford let Ollie Watkins and Benrahma go in the same window and got promoted in the season after. Coventry have lost Gyokeres, Hamer, Sheaf but have built...

Joint 10th place (11th on GD)

3 years to go from lower midtable to playoffs doesn’t sound outlandish to me either. If we had appointed Matos earlier we may even be talking about a top 8 finish this season which would be clear progress from the last. We can’t forget that we were pretty stagnant for the first 16 games despite...

Got 6 in 828 mins of league football, that puts him on 30 goals across a 46 game season. Unlikely he’ll reach that amount of goals but could certainly see him scoring 15 in a season. I’ve had my doubts about him but that brace today does him no harm. If we can find a couple of other forwards...

He was calm on the ball too, took his time with layoffs even when he was under pressure. Can press and win the ball back. Undoubtedly still useful to us.

Think we’re actually in a more positive position than this time last year. We’ve finished in the same spot in the table but we’ve got less work to do on the squad and have multiple saleable assets that can help us keep PSR at bay. Players like Parker, Woodward and hopefully Lissah can all...

A great second half where next season is concerned. 3 goals without Vipotnik being involved. Two for who is likely to be our striker and one excellent free kick from Walta who showed the most quality we’ve seen from him so far. Key was excellent all game. Woodward looked decent and picked up an...

I’d rather him take risks on the final day of the season than just coast through the game. I can understand not wanting to mess it up though too. This game will very likely be decided on a moment of invention though and hopefully he can provide it. This game more than any other has exposed our...

Walta looks tidy technically and it’s not his usual role today out wide. Just get the sense he’s playing within himself a bit, definitely more to come from him.

    Galbraith

I’d go £12m if there is Prem interest. £8m if there is top champ.

    West Brom

Completely scarred from last season to be honest. Any interim appointment now seems a risk. We won 5 in a row and it still turned out to be the wrong appointment. Wouldn’t be surprised if it went that way with West Brom.

    Galbraith

Vital saying looks like he’s off. Will be very interesting to see how we potentially replace both him and Vipotnik. Should get some good money in this summer, gotta spend it properly though.

    Galbraith

People might be doing 2+2 and getting 5. Might just be changing his bio or something, doesn’t have to be connected to the contract stuff. If we sell Galbraith then it might mean we get to keep hold of Vipotnik but if we sell both of them we should get a nice bit of money to spend in the...
