    Right so I understand the problem. Theres thousands of folk coming across the channel in small boats, organised by criminal gangs. Theres no formal paperwork, and we appear to be paying France hundreds of million of pounds to do not a lot. Doesnt sound good to me.

    No idea, I'm just saying there are or must be systems in place, if you want to come into the UK from another country, to work, or to escape persecution etc etc.

    I'd be happy to see zero people coming over on small boats. Anyone wishing to come here to the UK, will be welcome with open arms, as has been the case for decades, but only through the proper channels (no pun intended).

    That does seem steep, but then nothing is cheap these days, imagine paying for a family of four, it's a luxury these days. We used to go out regularly, if we couldnt be arsed to cook after work, it's a considered option these days, and limited to special occasions. It's tough out there for everyone.
