• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

They must be looking at a striker if they're thinking of loaning Wales out. And no, we can't make do with Cullen before anyone says.

New striker linked. Coleman picked this up too.

    Michael Obafemi - Downfall

Massive ego & some delusions of grandeur made him think he was way better than he actually was. Anyone can believe in themselves and I don't knock someone for having justified confidence in themselves, but I bet he also had a team of people around him feed into that, instead of trying to keep...

What are our realistic ambitions ?

After the start we have had, and another manager change, my realistic expectations for this season is for Matos to get the squad comfortable in playing the way he wants them to, to be more clinical and to start killing off rubbish teams in games when we're on top. That should lead us to a...

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

If they've recalled him over game time, then we've only got ourselves to blame. Burgess went through a phase of stinking the place out and we're currently shoehorning Galbraith in at RB when Casey could have done a job there. Even if Santos is now blocked from leaving, we're still light at the...

Casey can play RB as well though, can't he? Why not play him there to release Galbraith up into MF?

    DOF

Yalcouye came in with a big rep and it was considered a coup to get him at the time. There was no way he was signed to be back up.

    DOF

Just catching up on this thread. I've no idea in what context this was said by the owners so thanks Mamaswan for the info. Maybe they'd had a few - maybe it was tongue in cheek? Either way, I don't see the harm in them having some confidence in themselves. They won't get every transfer right...

Why Swansea City’s Director of Football Move Is the Turning Point the Club Desperately Needs

What's Birch up to? That's the last time I felt e were actually being run half properly. Wonder who they're looking at or if they have any names in mind? Get this appointment right and we could be cooking in the next 12-18 months, especially if they back Matos as much as they did Sheehan.

I wasn't there but have seen snippets online. Was anyone there who could let us know what was covered?

    Josh Key

I wasn't there but apparently at the fans forum last night, Matos said something along the lines of we all need to get behind him (Key) and give him our support. Again, context is needed but it sounds like Matos is planning on sticking by him. I'd personally give him some time out and utilise...

Stoke are on the same run as us in their last 6 won 2, lost 4. Definitely can go there with confidence up.

I'd recall Congreave ahead of him. Not even a regular for Portsmouth
