• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Yes, the actual punishment as it stands today is a 4 point deduction next season, and the loss of whatever receipts you get from a Wembley final. The rest is just conjecture.

Convenient that they only owned up to games they didn't win too. I bet they did it every game after the first time the new manager came up with the wheeze.

I really hope they don't back down. Here's some responses to their snivelling club statement. Here’s the social media reaction as the Southampton CEO Phil Parsons issues a statement hitting out at the ‘manifestly disproportionate’ punishment they face…. @glenn_coin: You sound like you were...

Your First Ever Game At The Vetch !?

Not sure who opposed, but I know it was a reserve match in the Football Combination maybe late 1970, early 1971, aged 10 or 11. I was just starry eyed over watching football at the Vetch. Up until then it was all rugby for me. I remember a real crowd for an FC match one day; turned out...

I heard the VAR crew are on an open bus tour around Stockley Park. Their first league title, but they expect to win many more.

Like trials, no one should be allowed to bump their gums about this in an obvious attempt to influence outcomes. There should be no 'political' or 'how will this be received' element to the judgement. I can still see them getting away with it, because I have a very jaundiced view about the...

They seem confident that today's appeal will overturn it. I've never understood this. The appeal should need fresh evidence, or a process fault, not just hoping for a different decision from different people on the same circumstances. That should never happen, as it makes a lottery of...

I'm stunned EFL went through with it, and convulsed with laughter at Southampton FC at the same time.

The far right “Unite the Kingdom” march

It is driven by Burnham and his recognition of his main chance, but that doesn't have to be mutually exclusive with the greater good. (I'm not a big fan of AB at all, but Labour is currently dead and buried with Starmbot/Streeting/Raynor and Fartage is looming large. If Burnham can nail a...

The far right “Unite the Kingdom” march

Indeed. Plus there is nothing inconsistent with 'leaving the EU was a massive mistake and the whole Farage/Johnson Brexit shambles has caused us huge damage' and, 'there is no case to rejoin now or in this or the next parliament'. He's not saying we won't try and make it better and leave it as...

The Mankys will need to win their two games, I think they'll struggle to beat Muff tonight. So I think it might be already game over.

Number 10. Shanks had died in the week and some arsehole started singing ‘Shankly’s dead’ during the minute of silence. Walking back through the park was bloody scary. I also remember being squeezed but not realising the danger.
