Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
My view is that Coleman is probably scraping around as we speak trying to find a way to justify this window. If I was in his shoes, I would sack Luke today and issue a statement blaming him/results for players not wanting to come here.
I don't see how Coleman saves face in all of this without...
When is the time to act in this way then?
At the start of next season in the Championship? When people will argue we have new players and a new manager and we need to give them time before we can judge?
At the start of next season in League One? As above but with ambitions of getting promoted...
And in theory with every week that passes with LW in charge, the harder it may be to attract someone worth attracting.
Schumacher went to Bolton last week. I dare say we could have had a chance with him.
I wonder if the window would've been any different if LW had been given the boot after the...
Unlucky lads, you've comfortably lost another game. Oh well, at least you gave 75%. Never mind, same again next week is it? Have a nice little polite clap as you walk off.
I had very, very, little hope before yesterday but that's all gone now for me.
Relegation, at some stage in the near future, has seemed like an inevitability for a while now but I do think this window has confirmed/sealed it.
When you look at this window in pure isolation and with no context, you could say:
- We've offloaded a loan player who never played (Abbey) and replaced him pretty much like for like, if not better (we'll see how much he plays when Darling is back). Not worth getting excited about.
- We've...
Free agents on stupid wages and on contracts longer than we want to give them.
Get rid of Williams and hope for a small new manager bounce to keep us up and then repeat next season.
Williams is taking us down. I'd go as far as to say he's the worst manager we've ever had.
I can't believe people are here defending Andy Coleman.
5 transfer windows since he turned up now isn't it? Each one exactly the same. I'd be prepared to put one down to bad luck.
"If he wants easy street" 😂
As if players should be honoured to join us. We are heading in only one direction and you can't blame anyone for not wanting to be part of that
This is probably a signing we wouldn't be making if we weren't in the shit.
Going to cost us a fortune by all accounts.
In the circumstances though, it seems like a good one.
Well yes, was. Probably 10 years ago, being generous.
We are now the opposite. We are now the blip on good players' CVs. Whittaker, Al Hamadi, Joseph, Gykores, probably soon to be Abdulai.
The summary so far appears to be:
O'Brien - reportedly done
Wright - everything agreed, waiting for the green light/reportedly off/some hitches.
Clark - we are one of the sides in for him. Seems fanciful to me.
Not necessarily.
I think people need to realise that nowadays, we are a crap option for players.
Who has come here in the last 4 years or so and gone on and thrived? Piroe and Downes and that's about it. The list of players who have come here and been crap is 10 times as long. The list of...
