• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Great to get the three points today and to see the likes of Walta and Parker get significant minutes on the pitch. My (mild) concern is that there were probably very similar posts to yours this time last season when we were on an even better run under Sheehan. The only players we lost who...

For that reason, my answer to Swans Jack's question above would be Galbraith if I had to sell one of them this summer. I would obviously prefer to keep both if we can afford it, but I think your post shows it's harder to find a 20 goal a season striker than it is to find a quality midfielder...

    Best right back?

Like you, I'm too young to comment on Wyndham. Of the 3 modern era players, Rangel is the clear winner even though I like the other two.

    Championship finances

Stoke's 'profit' was only because the owner wrote off a loan of £80m. Good for them, but feels like that goes against the meaning of PSR if they're only avoiding huge losses because of a generous owner.

Exactly. Also a bit mad to expect a 19 year old making his 12th senior appearance to 'look better' than a 26 year old with over 230 games of senior football under his belt. A better question would be did he look like he had the potential to look better than Key in time? I'd say the answer to...

    Tax advice

Without going into details, I have a lot more money in savings than I used to and stupidly followed some advice that it would all be sorted by HMRC because the banks send all the info to them. I have been paying a lot more monthly to them for quite a long time now out of my pay because they...

    Tax advice

Thanks for the advice both. I've been asked to submit for 24/25 within 3 months of receiving the letter. I'm in the process of gathering the end of year interest statements from the various accounts I had open at the time. Perhaps I'll have a crack at submitting it all myself before paying an...

    Tax advice

Hi all, having previously drawn on the JA support network for advice on IFA's, I'm looking for any recommendations for an accountant please? I've had the request from HMRC to do a self assessment tax return and having never done one before, I'm looking to get expert advice on this first one...

    Stadium + Snoop = Millions

I was there and I'm pretty certain it sold out. I booked tickets as soon as they were available and it was doing that thing where you'd select seats and they'd be gone before you could checkout, so there was definitely plenty of demand. Even so, if they're playing 3,500 attendance venues like...

    Sam Parker

Absolutely. It's a bizarre view of the game to criticise a young player making his first appearance in a long time for struggling with the formation that was chosen that left him horribly exposed. The improvement in his performance defensively was clear when Ronald came on and he actually had a...

    Just not seeing it.

Highlighting one game when he called them inconsistent is pretty much just proving lidojack's point for him.

    Sam Parker

Thanks N_J, I wasn't sure which was Lissah's preferred position. Better news for us if it's centre back, as I think we have a bigger need there than at right back. If a quality right back is available to us at a good price and doesn't stop us spending in areas with a higher need, then obviously...

I'll split the difference between you and Daps. I agree with you that he should be starting the rest of the season, with Ward on the bench as cover until Key is back. If Sam struggles, then bring Key back in. In the summer, it all depends on whether we sign anyone in that position. If not, I'm...

    Adam Idah

I would be perfectly happy with Idah starting and some of the money we would get for Vipotnik invested in another youngish striker from the continent as backup. Ironically Vip had one golden chance from open play today and smashed it over the crossbar. Doesn't matter because he has been...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 2 Middlesbrough 2 | Att: 18,168 | 6th April | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

Forgot to say in my earlier post that I thought we were great at the 'dark arts' of the game today. Played the referee much better than usual and got the decisions we should have, rather than obvious dives that we've seen too much of this season. Our players were doing really well at making...
