Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
He's had an unknown injury this season, which kept him out for a couple of months so he missed 10 games because of that. Still doesn't seem to be used much by them, other than as a rotation player (late substitute, cup games etc)
Fair enough.
I just think there have been a few examples now of him showing naivety/coming across poorly in interviews.
He said Rushworth was coming back again this season, he spoke about not going into the dressing room for the QPR game as if it was a good thing, he joked about the West Brom...
Not really, the way he handled it it came across as if he's not in the loop with what's going on. If he'd batted it away and said he wasn't going to talk about it then it's dealt with and stops follow up questions. He's not the best at speaking publicly, as we saw with the whole West Brom fiasco...
I doubt it's a player from the top division, since we're refusing to pay a few grand extra for our main CB transfer target at a time when we have no other fit CBs.
Wycombe will be entitled to a development fee for Low anyway so the final value of that transfer would almost definitely be higher...
Since we sold McBurnie and James for decent money in 2020, our only >£5m player sales over the last 5 years have been Piroe (£12m), Downes (£9m) and Rodon (£10m).
I really don't think any other clubs will be interested in Eom, Bianchini or Vipotnik at the moment. Eom has shown glimpses of...
Fair enough, I hadn't given it that much thought to be honest! As you say, it could well be because we've mostly had the upper hand on them for the last few years (no idea what their results against Bristol City have been in that time)
Historically we're definitely their biggest rivals but maybe they have a similar level of rivalry with Bristol City now?
Distance-wise, there's only 2 miles in it for them (45 miles from Bristol and 43 miles from us). If we had another club a similar distance to the west, say if Carmarthen...
Do they pretend they don't hate us though? All I seem to read on here and on the Facebook group is how they're "obsessed" with us, we can't have it both ways :ROFLMAO:
Cabango is an average Championship level defender. No shame in that but I don't see anyone offering more than £5m for him.
Franco possibly but it's far too early to say. He needs to prove he can play more than an hour a week first.
We don't have an under contract Darling unfortunately.
Key...
Who in the current squad would we get decent money for? Removing any fan bias, I don't think anyone would pay more than about £5m for any of our players.
The quality of the playing squad is deteriorating year on year so we're going to find it more and more difficult to be compliant with the...
They couldn't even be bothered to throw in some names of players who may be included in a potential swap deal. Swap deals hardly ever happen anyway so I'd file that one under "nonsense"
His contract was only until the end of January so presumably the club have extended it for the rest of the season.
Barring injury to Vigouroux, we won't be seeing McLaughlin play again anyway
Especially as everything was definitely going to be different under the new owners, it just seems to be more of the same. Although I'm not sure why people were so quick to believe Coleman, given we've had a few windows now where he's told us they're all prepared to be very active and do plenty...
Because on the one occasion it does work, the social media team can clip it and post "The Swansea Way", which will invariably excite a large portion of our fanbase.
I'd love to see a compilation video of all the other times we've done it and what the outcomes were
