Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
He was fine in the first half, linking up with MPH on the right. He did struggle in the second half when he was told to play as a CB though, really weird decision by Williams considering Naughton has loads of experience at playing CB
The fact that everyone has a different interpretation of it shows just how meaningless it actually is. As has been said, it's just something that's being latched on to as a buzzword because they think it sounds good
The main thing that baffled me last night was the substitutions (and lack of them).
Darling was sent off in the 50th minute and Williams waited 10 minutes before making a change. Even then, sacrificing our main goalscorer was a negative move (I thought it would be one from Bianchini, Ronald or...
I never understand why clubs do this sort of thing "the manager has 2/3 games to save his job". If it's got to that stage then they clearly don't have confidence in him so just get rid of him.
In the unlikely event that we win all 3 games but then lose the next 3, do they give him a similar...
I've seen a few people say this (and it's not a dig at you or anyone else), coupled with Williams saying he's going to Holland to watch a player. Does the club not employ scouts anymore? Should managers be expected to "know the foreign market" or should the club have scouts who are sent to find...
22 is still pretty young, Josh Thomas is the same age as him for example. Oli Cooper will be 26 this year, he's still spoken about as if he's a plucky youngster
I didn't say he's "so good".
He's a young player who was promoted to the first team based on his performances for the U21s and has then been played in a variety of positions, none of which are the position he played in the U21s.
Hopefully he'll get to play as a midfielder at Orient and shows...
It's like Sam Parker being called up for his performances as a winger with the U21s and then being criticised in a few months because nobody can understand why he looks so uncomfortable playing as a holding midfielder in the first team
Whilst that's mostly true, his substitutions are always predictable and like for like.
He never changes the formation (like playing 2 up front if we're chasing a goal) and the changes are usually made at similar times during every game; a couple at 60-65 minutes, another one or two at 75...
Weird that he calls out "certain players" for not being able to play today and struggling with the atmosphere but he didn't do anything to remedy that.
The first two players to be subbed off were Allen and Eom, he can't have been speaking about Allen so was Eom one of the players he was talking...
