Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
If we never gave chances to lads who are crap in training then we wouldn't have had Dan James, and Gareth Bale would have been frozen out at Spurs. Training cultures differ all over the world and a lot of foreign megastars don't suit how things tend to be done in the UK, let alone merely decent...
Managers getting to look at players every day in training results in Yates, Fulton etc. getting consistent minutes despite disappointing on match days week after week. Fans don't care if players are well-behaved and enthusiastic behind the scenes and on the winning side in drills, why would we...
Such a massive Cardiff fan that he left them for us and earned us a million quid plus future clauses in just two years. Career comes first, plenty of time to be a fan when you're retired. Time will tell whether moving to the PL will be the smart choice for him, might have bagged some...
The u23s league changed (back) to u21s from the 2022/23 season. Each competition has slightly different rules for overage players but the PDL, PL Cup, and our entry into the Welsh Cup are all u21s now.
I have no idea what people see from Grimes to think he's better pushing forward. He's been one of the best defensive midfield water-carriers in the Championship since we were relegated, and looks lost as soon as he enters the final third. He's instinctively too risk-averse. The partnership with...
I hear the FM team are looking for a new Swans researcher. The last one quit a couple of months ago (it was me). Get in touch with them if you're interested.
I'd imagine any budget figure we have going into the summer has a big minus in front of it. And lots of 0s on the end. Shortfall to make up via sales before there's anything left over to spend freely. Will all come down to how much of their own cash the owners are willing to throw away.
He's not played much at this level. Lot of injuries. Same for Ludvigsen (who the Sheff comms thinks is Jenkins). Seb's the only one of the back 4 we're keeping on.
Great strike from Nzingo.
I get told there's enthusiasm for what Williams is doing far more often than I hear any actual enthusiasm. Disappointing selection, another dreary performance. Not even worth talking about Yates any more. Glad the season is over and I can pay even less attention than I have been.
I would have thought Sam Parker the more likely for academy player of the season given his impact for both the u21s early on, and then the first team. Incredible progression in the last 12 months.
Not seen much from Govea by comparison. Lissah's had a pretty poor end of the season with the u21s...
